Access to the property is via two single pedestrian gates, one to the front and one to the side or a double sliding gate that opens onto the driveway. A path leads to the covered front terrace.
The front door opens into an entrance hall that has tiled floors and leads into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. This area is filled with light from the two sets of patio doors that open onto the front terrace. There is a feature wood burning fireplace with a stone surround. The fireplace has been fitted with a recuperator ensuring maximum heat distribution to this area. The floors are tiled and there is a door that opens into a convenient storage cupboard.
The kitchen has a matching range of base and wall units with work surfaces incorporating a double stainless steel sink with drainer and mixer tap over. There is an electric hob and electric oven with extractor fan over. The base units incorporate a space for a dishwasher and washing machine and space for a large fridge/freezer. It is worth noting that if a gas hob is preferred the pipework is in place for this.
The inner hallway has two windows that look to the rear of the property. The floors are tiled and there is a central heating radiator.

The house has dual central heating. There is a newly installed pellet burning system which connects to all the radiators throughout the house. The central heating can also be switched to run off gas which is bottled.

The house is located only a few minutes outside of Caldas da Rainha in a friendly village environment. From the house you can walk to two nice cafes and a mini-market. There are two good mechanics in the village and an association where many of the village events take place.
Caldas da Rainha is a thriving town with a busy town centre. In Caldas you will find a wide variety of cafes, shops, restaurants as well as all the usual amenities such as banks, pharmacies, doctors, offices etc. There is also a cultural centre that holds regular entertainment events, a beautiful centre park area and a variety of hotels. Every day (except Sunday) there is a fresh fruit and vegetable market and on Monday’s a general market where you can buy everything for the home and garden. Also in Caldas is a sports centre, swimming pool, movie theatre, shopping mall, hotels and a very popular bowling alley.
The house is 20 minutes into the medieval town of Obidos where there are not only the attractions of the old town, but supermarkets, doctors offices, banks, post office, florist, hotels, cafes and restaurants.
The nearest beaches are at Foz do Arelho and the Obidos Lagoon and the wonderful and world famous bay at Sao Martinho do Porto – these are 10 minutes away.
Lisbon and Lisbon Airport are approximately one hour away.
