Directly off the kitchen is a good sized pantry area with a window to the front.

The door from the kitchen leads into the inner hall with the door off to the guest bathroom. There is a sink pedestal with a mirror and light over, a toilet, and a corner shower unit. The bathroom is fully tiled.

Beautiful wooden doors with glazed inserts open into the spacious living room. This room runs the full length of the home and has a welcoming and comfortable feel to it. There is a fireplace to make it a cozy and comfortable room on cooler evenings. There are three sets of patio doors to the front that open onto the covered front terrace and garden, these fill the room with natural light. There are gleaming wood shutters to either side of the patio doors.

The dining room is very spacious and a wonderful area to entertain guests and family. This is a warm and inviting room that has double windows to the front.

NOTE: The living room is large enough to easily accommodate both a dining room and a living room set up. This would leave the dining room open to be used as a second living space, study/library area. There are various sets ups that could be used to accommodate different lifestyle preferences.

Off the dining room is an office (or perhaps a downstairs bedroom). There is a double window to the rear of the house looking out to the garden.

An attractive staircase leads to the first level of the house where there is a long hallway with the bedrooms and bathroom leading off.

There are four bedrooms on the first level, all have windows to the back of the property looking out over the garden and the views and one of the bedrooms has patio doors that open onto the terrace where you can appreciate the views in their full glory.

To the front you can gain access to the property via an attractive and custom designed gate which opens into the side of the garden. This also give access to the side entrance. To the left of the house is a single garage and between this and the main house there is a covered porch where the formal front door opens into the main living area.

The side path is lined with mature vines and colorful plants and makes a very inviting welcome to the house and which leads around the back garden and patio area. To the left of the side entrance is an attractive terrace area.

To the rear of the house is an attractive lawn area that has borders bursting with colorful and attractive plants and shrubs. The garden has far reaching views over the countryside beyond, where you can enjoy some amazing sunrises and sunsets.

Directly off the back of the house is a large covered verandah, an absolutely perfect place to sit and enjoy your early morning tea or in the afternoon a leisurely and chilled glass of wine. The far end of this terrace opens into a large BBQ and outside dining area which is also covered but directly off the garden.

The garage can be accessed here by way of a single door. There is a “mezzanine” level in the garage which makes for a great place to store all of those things we only use once a year or infrequently.

The property is located in the area of ​​Serra do Bouro. It enjoys a location at a high point giving it wonderful and uninterrupted viewing over the countryside.

It is only a 5 minute drive to the beaches and village of Foz do Arelho. The village of Foz do Arelho has several mini markets, cafes, restaurants, bank, hotels, as well as one of the most scenic and beautiful beaches in the area. The beach area is lined with a selection of cafes and restaurants. One one side there is the ruggedness of the Atlantic Ocean and the other the safety of the Obidos Lagoon, making this a safe beach for families to enjoy. There are many outdoor activities carried out here including wind surfing, kayaking, sailing and other water sport activities. There is also a sailing school where you can take lessons and rent equipment.

The beaches at São Martinho do Porto are a 10 minute drive. São Martinho is one of the most popular towns and beaches on the Silver Coast. The town itself surrounds the shell shaped bay which in itself provides a safe area for families to enjoy days on the beach with safe swimming. The beach stretches all the way around to the nearby village of Salir do Porto. In São Martinho do Porto there are numerous restaurants and cafes that cater to many different palates. In addition there is a pharmacy, supermarkets, several mini-markets, butchers, bakeries, lovely pastry shops, gift and souvenir shops as well as chops and shops clothing with wonderful products for the home and garden. The promenade and cycle track stretches around the whole bay with the cycle track connecting to the Estrada Atlantica where you can cycle for miles.

The town of Caldas da Rainha is a 10 minute drive. Caldas has a population of approximately 52,000. Caldas is a lovely town that is large enough to provide all you need while still maintaining a welcoming and vibrant community feel. In Caldas there is an unending array of cafes and restaurants, catering to every taste, including vegan, gluten free and other dietary preferences. Caldas has hotels, shopping centres, cultural centres, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, doctors, dentists, two hospitals, schools for every level. There is also a fabulous park center where there is usually some form of entertainment taking place. There are often art displays here; once a month there is a fabulous outdoor antiques and flea market that stretches throughout the entire park and makes for a great day out.

There is a daily fruit and vegetable market in Caldas where you can buy wonderful and fresh local produce as well as fresh baked bread, cheeses, pulses, beans, nuts, dried fruit, beautiful and colorful fresh flowers, baskets and many other local artisan products . There are several cafes directly off the market to enjoy a relaxing coffee while picking up your produce. A Monday market covers a huge area and at this market you can expect to be able to find pretty much anything for the home or garden.

Lisbon and Lisbon Airport are approximately one hour away. The regular bus service runs from Caldas da Rainha to Lisbon. The high speed trains run from Lisbon down to the Algarve.
