This lovely property is located less than 10 minutes from the town of Alcobaca.
Alcobaca is a thriving and growing town where you will find supermarkets, cafes, lovely restaurants. And of course there is the truly wonderful Alcobaca Monastery that is overflowing with wonderful architecture and history. Surrounding the Monastery are huge outside spaces that are lined with cafes and interesting shops filled with all manner of things Portuguese including the beautiful Portuguese pottery that is evident throughout this region. There is a weekly market in the centre of town where you can buy fresh local vegetables, fruits, cheeses, fish, breads and other regional favourites and delicacis.
Half an hour away is the large bustling town of Cadas da Rainha where there are a plethora of shops, a huge selection of restaurants including local Portuguese delicacies and other ethnic choices. There is a daily fruit and vegetable market and a weekly general market. In the centre of Caldas da Rainha is a stunning centre park area where there is always something going on. There is a secure childrens play area here, a lovely cafe and a pond where the children can feed the ducks.
The beaches at Nazare are 15 minutes away and the beaches at Salgado, Sao Martinho do Porto and Foz do Arelho are all within a half hour drive.
Lisbon and Lisbon International Airport are just over an hour away.
