This is a beautiful home on the edge of an attractive village on the Silver Coast in Portugal. This is a spacious contemporary home on a lot measuring 10,600m2. It has stunning views over the countryside and down the valley. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large living room, large kitchen/dining room. Outside encompasses a swimming pool, patio areas, a lovely cabana for sitting outside, relaxing and enjoying the fabulous views.
The property is accessed by way of a wide driveway that leads to the side of the house.
The attractive entrance hall is wide and light. There is a door to the left that opens into a useful storage area. Further along is a full height glass wall that opens into the owner’s artist studio. Please note that this room was originally the garage and the new owners could convert this back to a garage if they wished.
The artists studio has full height patio doors to the front and this combined with the glass wall to the hall makes for a lovely light filled area to create wonderful works of art or it could be utilised as a conservatory, second living room, or as said previously it could be converted back to use as a garage.
A further door at the far end of the entrance hall opens into the main hallway leading to the living space. To the right of this hallway is a bathroom area which has a W.C., and a sink set into a vanity unit with mirror over. To the right of the bathroom a further door opens in the utility area where there is a hook up for the washing machine and dryer.
The open plan kitchen and living area has expansive views over the gardens and adjoining countryside right down the valley. The dining area will accommodate a large family sized table and chairs. The kitchen has a range of wall and base units with work surfaces incorporating a gas hob, a 1 ½ sink with draining board and a mixer tap over. There is a dishwasher and built-in electric oven and microwave/oven. The kitchen also provides space for an American Style fridge/freezer. The floors are tiled and there are central heating radiators.
The spacious living room is again filled with light from the large patio doors to the front and the landscape window to the side. It has tiled floors, central heating radiators and a pellet burning fireplace.
Stairs lead to the upper level of the home where there is a long inner hall with windows to the back of the house and doors off to the bedrooms and the bathrooms.
The first of the bedrooms has sliding patio doors that open onto the long and wide balcony that runs the full length of the house. There are tiled floors, built in wardrobes and a central heating radiator.
The family bathroom has a W.C., bidet, sink set into a floating vanity unit and a full bath with shower off the taps and a glass shower screen. The bathroom is fully tiled, there is an obscured glass window to the front and there is a heated towel rail.
The second bedroom is spacious, has built-in wardrobes in the dressing area and a landscape window to the back. Patio doors lead to the balcony. The floors are tiled and there is a central heating radiator.
The master suite is spacious and well thought out. There are double built in wardrobes that then lead into the ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a W.C., bidet, sink set into a vanity unit and a large walk in shower. The bathroom is beautifully tiled, has a window to the front and a heated towel rail.
The master bedroom has patio doors to the front that open onto the balcony, a very long landscape window to the side that looks over the “meadow” and the countryside beyond. In addition to the double wardrobes previously mentioned, there are large built in wardrobes in the bedroom itself. The floors are tiled and there is a central heating radiator.
The house sits on a lot that measures 10,800 metres. Much of this is left to nature and the owners have a local farmer that comes in twice a year to mow the undergrowth where the trees are at a cost of approximately 200€.
Immediately off the house is a long, wide balcony with plenty of space to sit and enjoy your breathtaking views over the countryside and down the valley, towards the sea.
The swimming pool has a patio area to the side making this whole outside space a wonderful area to dine, entertain or just relax. A little further along is another patio area and off here there is a beautiful cabana that provides a shaded area to sit and relax and enjoy your surroundings.
Off this space is a brick built BBQ which in turn leads to a meadow-like part of the garden which is off to the right.
The garden has been cleverly designed to provide very comfortable seating and entertaining spaces, all of which take advantage of the views beyond.
