Figueiró dos Vinhos is a bustling market town in Central Portugal.
The population is a little over 6000 people and it is a county town (Conselho).
Figueiró dos Vinhos, is in the District of Leiria and is made up of five parishes:

The river beach of Fragas de Sao Simao which is famous throughout Portugal is also well worth a visit.
The town centre is very attractive with some stunning architecture and plenty of cafes and restaurants.
Located close to the IC8 you have good access to Portugal’s highway system, so fast access to the coast, Porto and Lisbon is assured.
The surrounding area is one of sublime natural beauty, every twist of the road unveils another wondrous view of a forest, mountain or lake.

The town itself is lively and thriving, there is plenty to do and see.
